This is a copy of a snapshot that my sister took of my father a few years ago when he was about 85 years old. They were visiting a park in Tennessee where there were some old-growth trees. In the picture my father is facing away from the camera and trying to put his arms around a very large tree. It appears that he can only encircle about one-fourth the diameter. He is wearing a baseball hat. I put the quote by Robert Browning under the picture because it reminds me of my father.
